National Boys & Girls Clubs of America President & CEO Jim Clark, and 12 of his senior leadership team, will join the Boys & Girls Club of Maury County, as well as volunteers from the local community, for a “Day of Service” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to provide a facilities update for the Boys & Girls Club of Pulaski.
Annually, one Club is selected nationwide for this special opportunity. After being closed since May, the Pulaski Club just reopened last month under the management of the Boys & Girls Club of Maury County.
The Pulaski Club was in serious need of updated resources and tools in order to better serve youth in the local community, which counts on the Club’s services during out of school time and the summer. As a result, the group of individuals volunteering will be performing a myriad of tasks including assembling and installing new furniture, cleaning and disposing of defunct items, and upgrading the program spaces to better serve the Club youth.
Other scheduled activities include a VIP Luncheon with Pulaski community leaders, Boys & Girls Clubs of America national leadership, and Club youth from 12-1pm at the Pulaski Club, and an evening VIP Reception in Maury County at Puckett’s Columbia from 6-7:30pm.
