TWO WAYNE COUNTY OFFICIALS WERE INDICTED AFTER AN INVESTIGATION BY THE TWENTY SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT. ACCORDING TO DISTRICT ATTORNEY BRENT COOPER, THE INVESTIGATION BY HIS OFFICE BEGAN TWO MONTHS AGO AFTER RECEIVING A REPORT OF POSSIBLE MISUSE OF COUNTY PROPERTY BY THE WAYNE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT. WAYNE COUNTY ROAD SUPERINTENDENT CHARLES MOSER WAS INDICTED FOR THEFT OVER 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS, MISUSE OF COUNTY INMATES AND MISUSE OF COUNTY PROPERTY. SUPERVISOR JIMMY STAGGS WAS INDICTED FOR MISUSE OF COUNTY INMATES. BOTH TURNED THEMSELVES IN TODAY AND WERE RELEASED ON BAIL.
