LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A RESIDENCE THURSDAY ON HAYES ROAD IN REGARDS TO A FEMALE SUBJECT THREATENING SUICIDE.  ACCORDING TO REPORTS, AS THE FIRST OFFICER ON SCENE APPROACHED THE RESIDENCE, THE FEMALE, BRITTANY NICOLE STORY, 33, OF LAWRENCEBURG, FIRED A .45 CALIBER HANDGUN IN THE OFFICER'S DIRECTION.  THE OFFICER WAS ABLE TO TAKE COVER AND AWAITED BACKUP UNITS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE HOUSE.  THE FEMALE REFUSED TO COOPERATE WITH OFFICERS AND WAS EVENTUALLY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR EVALUATION. WARRANTS HAVE BEEN OBTAINED FOR STORY FOR RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT WITH A WEAPON AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER TO BE SERVED ONCE SHE IS RELEASED FROM MEDICAL CARE.
