COLUMBIA AND LAWRENCEBURG ARE ON STANDBY TO ASSIST WITH EMERGENCY EFFORTS IN HOUSTON.

ACCORDING TO THE DAILY HERALD, COLUMBIA FIRE CHIEF, TY COBB, ADVISED THEY RECEIVED THE CALL FROM THE TENNESSEE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY ON SUNDAY AND SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN IN A STATE OF READINESS. IF DEPLOYED, COLUMBIA FIRE WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LAWRENCEBURG FIRE, SPRING HILL FIRE AND MT. PLEASANT LAWRENCEBURG FIRE CHIEF JAY MOORE, ADVISED THAT THEY HAVE CHECKED AND PREPARED THEIR EQUIPMENT AND ARE READY FOR DEPLOYMENT IF THE REQUEST IS MADE.

A CARAVAN IS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE TODAY FOR TEXAS WITH RESPONDERS FROM WILLIAMSON, DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES.
