FLORENCE FIREFIGHTERS RESPONDED TO A FIRE THAT BROKE OUT AT THE PHI GAMMA DELTA FRATERNITY HOUSE ON WEDNESDAY.  THE INCIDENT HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 4 IN THE AFTERNOON AND ACCORDING TO THE TIMES DAILY, AUTHORITIES ADVISED THE FIRE BROKE OUT ON THE SECOND FLOOR IN THE BACK HALF OF THE BUILDING AND SPREAD QUICKLY AS FIREFIGHTERS WORKED TO CONTAIN IT.  EIGHT FRATERNITY MEMBERS WHO LIVE IN THE HOUSE WERE ACCOUNTED FOR AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. UNA ADVISED THOSE STUDENTS WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF.  THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AT THIS TIME AND IS EXPECTED TO BE A COMPLETE LOSS.
