A MAN IS DEAD AFTER A LATE NIGHT DOMESTIC DISPUTE WHICH LEAD TO AN OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING.

ACCORDING TO MEDIA REPORTS, LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THOUSAND TRAILS CAMPGROUND AROUND 10:30 MONDAY NIGHT TO A 911 CALL FROM A FEMALE WHO ADVISED SHE HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ARGUMENT WITH HER MALE TRAVELING COMPANION AND THAT SHE WAS SCARED BECAUSE HE WAS ARMED. UPON ARRIVAL, DEPUTIES ORDERED THE SUBJECT TO DROP HIS WEAPON WHICH HE REFUSED TO DO. A DEPUTY THEN FIRED HIS GUN, STRIKING THE MALE. THE MALE WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AND LATER PRONOUNCED DEAD.

THE INCIDENT IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE TBI AND NO NAMES HAVE BEEN RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
