THE PULASKI BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN MET IN REGULAR SESSION TODAY. LEADERS ENTERTAINED A SHORT AGENDA IN WHICH ALL ITEMS WERE VOTED ON AND APPROVED. AMONG THE ITEMS INCLUDED A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR AERIAL SEWER CREEK CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS WHICH IS PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PROJECT AND RECOMMENDED BY THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION. AUTHORIZATION TO MOVE ONCE AGAIN GAS AND SEWER LINES FROM THE 31 SOUTH WIDENING PROJECT ALSO SAW MUCH FAVOR AND WILL BE PAID FOR BY T-DOT. A PUBLIC HEARING TOOK PLACE REGARDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE BEER ORDINANCE WHICH CLARIFIES THAT ALCOHOL CAN BE SOLD AT BUSINESSES AND ESTABLISHMENTS ON THE PULASKI SQUARE AND THAT BEER PERMIT HOLDERS HAVE THE ABILITY TO SECURE A SEPARATE BEER PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENTS WITH CONSUMPTION ON THE SQUARE IN THE SPECIAL PERMIT AREA. NO COMMENT WAS MADE AND THE ORDINANCE PASSED ON SECOND READING. THE OPENING OF BIDS FOR THE SEWAGE PUMPING STATION REPLACEMENT AT WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT WILL TAKE PLACE ON FEBRUARY 9TH AND A BID WAS AWARDED BASED ON RECOMMENDATIONS FROM PROJECT ENGINEERS FOR THE SPLASH PAD TO GREAT SOUTHERN RECREATION. THE BOARD WILL MEET AGAIN FOR A WORK SESSION ON MONDAY AT 12 IN THE COUNCIL ROOM LOCATED IN THE PULASKI CITY HALL.
