THE NEW HEALTH ORDER LIFTING THESE RESTRICTIONS WILL TAKE EFFECT AT THE TIME THE OLD HEALTH ORDER EXPIRES. FLORENCE CITY MAYOR ANDY BETTERTON HAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE CITY OF FLORENCE HAS FOLLOWED GOVERNOR IVEY'S GUIDANCE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW HER GUIDANCE AT THIS TIME. AS STATED IN THE GOVERNOR'S PRESS CONFERENCE, THE MASK REQUIREMENT IS NOW AT THE DISCRETION OF BUSINESS OWNERS. MAYOR BETTERTON ASKS THAT INDIVIDIDUALS RESPECT THE DECISIONS OF THEIR LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS AS IT PERTAINS TO THEIR INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE. ALTHOUGH MASKS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED, THE FLORENCE CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS AND MAYOR BETTERTON STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THE CITIZENS OF FLORENCE TO CONTINUE WEARING MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING.
