THE SPRING HILL GENERAL MOTORS PLANT IS ONE OF SIX NORTH AMERICAN FACTORIES GM IS BEING FORCED TO CUT PRODUCTION DUE TO A GLOBAL SHORTAGE OF SEMICONDUCTORS. MEDIA SOURCES REPORT FACTORIES ARE SHUTTING DOWN BECAUSE THERE AREN'T ENOUGH CHIPS TO FINISH BUILDING VEHICLES. GM ANNOUNCED THURSDAY THAT THE CUTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN PLANTS IN SPRING HILL, MEXICO, ONTARIO, KANSAS AND MICHIGAN. DELIVERY INVENTORY OF VEHICLES MADE AT THESE PLANTS COULD BE DELAYED.
