A FORMER LAWRENCE COUNTY DEPUTY WAS RECENTLY INDICTED ALONG WITH HIS BROTHER FOR POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, AFTER AN INVESTIGATION BY THE 22ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, THE LAWRENCE COUNTY GRAND JURY RETURNED INDICTMENTS AGAINST TODD DANIELS AND ANTHONY DANIELS. THE PAIR WERE ALSO INDICTED FOR TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE, AND POSSESSION OF AN ITEM WITH AN ALTERED SERIAL NUMBER.  THE OBJECT OF THE INVESTIGATION WAS A KUBOTA DIESEL 1211 MOWER THAT WAS STOLEN FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY GOVERNMENT ON MAY 10TH, 2017. BOTH DANIELS TURNED THEMSELVES IN TO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL ON WEDNESDAY AND WERE RELEASED AFTER POSTING $25,000 BAIL. THIS INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.
