THREE ARE IN CUSTODY AFTER A SHOOTING IN GILES COUNTY OVER THE WEEKEND.  ACCORDING TO REPORTS, EMERGENCY PERSONNEL WERE CALLED TO A LOCAL BUSINESS ON SUNDAY TO A REPORT OF AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAD BEEN SHOT.  IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AT A RESIDENCE ON WASHINGTON STREET AND THE SUSPECT, ALFONZA FERGUSON, 43, OF PULASKI, WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER, AGGRAVATED ROBBERY AND PROBATION VIOLATION.  COURTNEY HATCHETT, 31, WAS LATER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND CHARGED WITH SCHEDULE 2 DRUG VIOLATIONS AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.  BOTH FERGUSON AND HATCHETT ARE BEING HELD IN THE GILES COUNTY JAIL AND ARE SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN COURT ON FEBRUARY 19TH.  A THIRD PERSON ROBERT MESSER, 29, WAS CHARGED WITH SIMPLE POSSESSION. THE VICTIM WAS AIR LIFTED TO A NASHVILLE AREA HOSPITAL WHERE THEY ARE LISTED IN STABLE CONDITION.  THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING.
