A MAURY COUNTY MAN WANTED ON KIDNAPPING, ASSAULT AND THEFT CHARGES HAS BEEN ARRESTED. ACCORDING TO THE DAILY HERALD, DAVID THOMAS THORPE, 32, WAS ARRESTED ON THURSDAY AND REMAINS IN THE MAURY COUNTY JAIL ON A TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR BOND. THORPE IS ACCUSED OF BEATING A WOMAN IN HER HOME AND NOT ALLOWING HER TO LEAVE UNTIL SHE UNLOCKED HER IPHONE BEFORE TAKING IT. LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THORPE SINCE THE FEBRUARY 25TH INCIDENT. ON THURSDAY A TIP WAS RECEIVED TO THE LOCATION OF THORPE'S DODGE CHALLENGER AND OFFICERS LOCATED THORPE HIDING IN AN ATTIC AT THE PROPERTY. THORPE IS SET TO APPEAR IN MAURY COUNTY’S GENERAL SESSIONS COURT AT 2 P.M. ON MARCH 25.
