A GROUP OF PROTESTERS SPENT THE NIGHT OUTSIDE OF GOVERNOR BILL LEE'S OFFICE IN AN ATTEMPT TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE ALLEGATIONS SURROUNDING STATE REPRESENTATIVE DAVID BYRD. THE GROUP CALLING THEMSELVES ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS CALLING FOR BYRD'S RESIGNATION AND ARE WANTING THE GOVERNOR TO MAKE A STATEMENT. THE SAME GROUP RECENTLY PUT A BILLBOARD ON INTERSTATE 65 WHICH SAYS DAVID BYRD HAS TO GO. BYRD HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF SEXUAL MISCONDUCT BY MULTIPLE WOMEN WHO REPORTEDLY PLAYED BASKETBALL FOR WAYNE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL WHILE BYRD WAS COACHING DURING THE 1980S. BYRD REPRESENTS THE 71ST DISTRICT WHICH INCLUDES HARDIN, WAYNE AND A PORTION OF LAWRENCE COUNTY IN THE TENNESSEE STATE HOUSE.
