A TRAFFIC STOP AND A HOME VISIT YIELDED SEVERAL DRUGS LATE LAST WEEK IN LAWRENCE COUNTY.  ON THURSDAY, DEPUTIES WITH THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT INITIATED A TRAFFIC STOP ON WEST GAINES STREET.  ONE OCCUPANT WAS ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHENALIA.  A SECOND OCCUPANT WAS TRANSPORTED TO VALLEY ROAD IN REGARDS TO A HOME VISIT FOR STATE PROBATION AND PAROLE AND WAS LATER ARRESTED AFTER A SEARCH OF THE RESIDENCE YIELDED SEVERAL NARCOTICS INCLUDING OXYCODONE, AS WELL AS APPROXIMATELY 92 GRAMS OF A CRYSTAL SUBSTANCE BELIEVED TO METHAMPHETAMINE AND DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.  AN ADDITIONAL PERSON WAS ALSO TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AT THE PROPERTY.
