AT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE TENNESSEE CONSTABLE ASSOCIATION IN PIGEON FORGE THIS WEEKEND, LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF JOHN MYERS WAS HONORED FOR HIS WORK ETHIC, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, PROFESSIONALISM AND LEADERSHIP ABILITIES.  EACH YEAR THE ASSOCIATION MEETS AND OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS, HAS CHOSEN ONE SHERIFF FROM 95 COUNTIES AND RECOGNIZED HIM OR HER AS AN OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVANT.  MYERS WAS NAMED AS THIS YEAR'S SHERIFF OF THE YEAR.  IN ADDITION CONSTABLE JIMBO THOMASON WAS ALSO HONORED AT THE CONVENTION WITH THE OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP AWARD AND 22ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY BRENT COOPER WAS NAMED THE GROUP'S DA OF THE YEAR.
