TWO MEN WERE ARRESTED FRIDAY AFTER ATTEMPTING TO CASH FAKE CHECKS IN THE AREA.  ACCORDING TO REPORTS, OFFICERS WITH THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT WERE DISPATCHED TO COMMUNITY BANK TO SPEAK TO A COMPLAINANT REGARDING A MALE SUBJECT WHO WAS ATTEMPTING TO PASS A FAKE CHECK.  UPON ARRIVAL, OFFICERS SPOKE WITH THE SUBJECT, IDENTIFIED AS 47 YEAR OLD CARL TYRONE BOONE, WHO ADVISED HE WAS FROM KNOXVILLE AND THAT HE AND 36 YEAR OLD MICHAEL CHAD TEAGUE, WERE WITH TWO OTHER MALES THAT HAD SPENT THE DAY TRYING TO CASH CHECKS AT MULTIPLE BANKS IN TOWN.  TEAGUE HAD APPARENTLY CASHED ONE WITH SUCCESS BUT THE TELLER BECAME SUSPICIOUS WHEN BOONE ATTEMPTED TO.  BOONE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND TEAGUE WAS FOUND IN GILES COUNTY AFTER THE TWO MALES ABANDONED HIM AT A STORE IN ELKTON.   THE LAST KNOWN LOCATION OF THE TWO OTHER MALES WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON I 65 TOWARDS ALABAMA.  BOTH BOONE AND TEAGUE ARE BEING HELD IN THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL FACING CHARGES OF CRIMINAL SIMULATION.
