A LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN WAS ARRESTED LAST WEEK IN WAYNE COUNTY ON MULTIPLE CHARGES OF THEFT AND BURGLARY. ACCORDING TO MEDIA SOURCES, KENNETH ANDREW WELCHER, 21, OF LAWRENCEBURG, IS ACCUSED OF BREAKING INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLE IN WAYNESBORO IN OCTOBER. NUMEROUS ITEMS WERE TAKEN INCLUDING HUNTING GEAR, A .22 CALIBER PISTOL, A LAPTOP COMPUTER, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. WELCHER WAS ARRESTED ON TUESDAY AND CHARGED WITH NINE COUNTS OF BURGLARY, ONE COUNT OF THEFT OF PROPERTY OVER $1,000, AND FOUR COUNTS OF THEFT OF PROPERTY UNDER $1,000. HE WAS BOOKED INTO THE WAYNE COUNTY JAIL ON $117,500.00 BOND.
