SENATOR JOEY HENSLEY ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK A LIST OF AWARD RECIPIENTS IN MAURY COUNTY THAT WILL RECEIVE FUNDS THROUGH THE TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION GRANTS FOR AREA NON PROFITS.  THE CITY OF COLUMBIA WILL RECEIVE A GRANT FOR 8 THOUSAND DOLLARS.  MAURY COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL RECEIVE 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS, SOUTH CENTRAL TN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT WILL RECEIVE 23, 350 DOLLARS AND THE WATERSHED PUBLIC THEATER WILL RECEIVE THREE GRANTS, TOTALING OVER 11 THOUSAND DOLLARS. IN ADDITION, HENSLEY ANNOUNCED A LIST OF AREAS THAT WILL RECEIVE FUNDS FROM TOURISM ENHANCEMENT GRANTS THROUGH THE ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT'S RURAL DEVELOPMENT FUND. THE CITY OF CLIFTON WILL RECEIVE 71,250 DOLLAR FOR ENHANCEMENTS TO RIVERFRONT STAGE, THE CITY OF COLLINWOOD WILL RECEIVE 19 THOUSAND DOLLARS TO UPGRADE THE COLLINWOOD RV PARK, THE CITY OF LINDEN WILL RECEIVE A 2525 DOLLAR GRANT FOR WAYFINDING SIGNAGE AND LEWIS COUNTY WILL RECEIVE A 25,000 DOLLAR GRANT TO WORK WITH THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO PROVIDE AN IMPORTANT BUFFALO RIVER ACCESS POINT AND INSTALL COUNTY WIDE WAYFINDING SIGNAGE.
