The Giles County 257, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the General John C. Brown 112, Sons of Confederate Veterans will host their annual Chili/Chicken Stew Saturday, February 29th, beginning at 4 p.m. at the American Legion Post 60 in Pulaski.
The event will celebrate the birthdays of Gen. Robert E. Lee, Gen. Thomas Jonathan (Stonewall) Jackson and Commodore Matthew Fontaine Maury, whose birthdays were in January, and will honor black confederate soldiers in recognition of February as Black History Month.
There will be homemade chili or chicken stew, dessert and a drink for $7. Eat in or take out and larger quantities available with advance notice by Monday, Feb. 21st.
Money collected will be used for historical projects in Giles County.
