There have been zero cases of COVID-19, coronavirus, reported in Giles County, according to the Tennessee Department of Health as of Tuesday evening.
Rumors from individuals claiming to know of a confirmed case in Pulaski and Giles County is a concern at the Giles County Office of Emergency Management.
“One of the biggest things we can do currently is prevent the spread of rumors,” Giles County Office of Emergency Management Director Jeremy Holley said in a video released last week. “I think that is going to be one of the biggest hazards we are going to face within coming days.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Giles County Schools will be closed until April 24th after Governor Bill Lee urged all school districts statewide to close.
Students will report back to the classroom on Monday, April 27th.
