Tennessee College of Applied Technology Pulaski (TCAT-Pulaski) successfully fulfilled all obligations for continuation of programmatic accreditation by HVAC Excellence.
TCAT-Pulaski is required to submit a required annual report, including an original self-study and program advisory committee (PAC) meeting minutes to ensure transparency and help identify any concerns. This was reviewed, along with an onsite team visitation report and an annual accreditation report, to prove alignment with accreditation standards.
“The accreditation is good for six years, but we have to pass these benchmarks yearly,” HVAC and Refrigeration Technology Instructor Chris Perkins explained. “Having this is a valuable asset to our school. We plan to continue maintaining our accreditation as HVAC Excellence continually updates the standards, which help us maintain our curriculum at a high level. It provides our students an opportunity to show they are prepared for work in our field.”
The HVAC/Refrigeration program most current job placement rate is 89.2 percent, far exceeding the accreditation benchmark of 70 percent.
