Fireworks will light up the sky in Pulaski tonight presented by the City of Pulaski and WKSR Radio.
The city will present fireworks starting at 8:30 p.m. and tune the radio to Classic WKSR at 8:05 p.m. to hear the entertainment and soundtrack for the fireworks sponsored by the Outlook and First Realty.
However, there will be no concert, festival, or organized gathering in the park due to COVID-19 concerns.
Sharewood Park will be closed to the public near the time for the fireworks show to start.
Several streets will be closed from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. due to the fireworks.
The streets are East College Street at the Recreation Center, Valentine Street at the cemetery, South Rhodes, and Magazine Road at Shelia Frost Drive.
Pulaski Parks and Recreation reports there are numerous places throughout the city where people can see the fireworks.
Everyone is encouraged to find a safe spot to park and enjoy the show with their families while maintaining social distancing.
Ceremonies before the fireworks show will be available on the Parks and Recreation Facebook Page and WKSR 100.9 and 101.7 FM.
Lyric Currin will sing the National Anthem. The Pledge of Allegiance and the Presentation of Flags will be performed by the Giles County Honor Guard.
Second Street Church of Christ Pastor Jeff Jenkins will lead the prayer immediately preceding the Fireworks.
