Signs were installed last week along Richland Creek to warn the danger of a low head dam.
TWRA Officer David Crane said low head dam warning signs have been placed at the Vales Mill Boat ramp and on the Mill Street bridge over Richland Creek.
The dam is located near the City of Pulaski raw water intake and was the scene of a fatal accident in April when a boater went over the dam and got caught in the boil, which is recirculating currents at the base of the dam.
A third sign was placed on a path leading to the which shows the danger.
Crane is warning swimmers, fisherman and boaters both above and below the dam to use extreme caution, especially around the boil, which extends approximately 10-20 feet from the base of the dam.
