Emergency personnel reported damage and power outages across Giles County as strong storms rolled through the area Sunday evening.
Wind gusts reached between 50 and 60 mph in south-central portions of the county, according to radar readings from the National Weather Service.
Miraculously, there were no reports of property damage or injuries within the city following the storm.
Power was reported out in some areas until 10 p.m. leaving homes and businesses in the dark.
Richland Station of the Giles County Rescue Squad reported on social media that members and units responded to a possible water rescue in the south end of the county.
A rescue member later reported that everyone was safe and out of the water by the time they arrive.
Meteorologists in the area are expecting more scattered, unevenly-distributed, locally-heavy thunderstorms today (Monday), with rain, wind, hail and dangerous lightning are all expected.
