Just last week, Giles County Mayor Melissa Greene announced she was not adopting a masking ordinance due to the COVID-19 case increase.
As of Sunday, the total COVID-19 case count for Tennessee is now 61,960 including 741 deaths, 3,250 hospitalizations, and 35,855 recovered.
Giles County increased to 105 patients Sunday who have tested positive for COVID-19.
Reports show that 40 of those confirmed cases have now recovered.
In Giles County, negative tests rose to 2,572, up from 2,537 and one fatality has been reported.
Positive test results in surrounding counties as of Sunday are Lawrence with 239; Lincoln has 87; Marshall increased to  118; and Maury with 462.
