Giles County Election Commission Encourages voters to vote early.
Early voting for the Tennessee State, Federal Primary and County General Election begins Friday and runs until Saturday, August 1st with Election Day on Thursday, August 6th.
"Our office has been working diligently to ensure a safe and secure election for voters," said Zena Dickey Giles County Administrator of Elections. "I encourage Giles County voters to help us minimize the amount of time it takes to cast a ballot by voting early."
Early voting provides voters the opportunity to avoid Election Day crowds and also offers the flexibility of Saturday voting hours from 8 am until noon.
Early voters should enter the Suntrust Annex Building on the southside, where there will be a person taking temperature, pens will be wrapped for each voter and other COVID-19 pre-cautions will be taken.
During early voting and on Election Day, Giles County voters are encouraged to do their part. This includes wearing a face covering and maintaining a six-foot distance from poll officials and other voters.
Voters should expect to see signs with further safety instructions at their polling locations. All poll officials will be wearing face coverings and will be trained to take appropriate protective measures.
