A search ended Wednesday for a missing Giles County woman.
A passing motorist reportedly saw a woman jump from the Elkton-Prospect bridge on Highway 273 Monday and was swept into the raging waters of Richland Creek.
A search began shortly after the call with a helicopter, and drones with law enforcement and squad members walking the banks because the water was too swift to put boats in the river.
The body was recovered Wednesday morning after searching the waters for 2 days.
On the scene were members from the Giles County Fire and Rescue, the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, Giles EMS, and Giles OEM all aiding in the search.
Giles County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation.
