The Giles County School Board will meet Thursday, August 6th for a regular monthly meeting.
Among items on the agenda includes Policies for 1st Reading on Student Discrimination, Harassment, Bullying, Cyber-bullying, and Intimidation; Title IX & Sexual Harassment; Student Concerns and Employee Designations During Emergency Closure.
New business to be discussed by the board is the School Fees; Employee Handbook; COVID-19 Procedures; and Renovation Project with ESG.
The school renovation project with ESG was addressed by School Director Vickie Beard to the board during the last work session, recommending the board consider the portion of ESG's plan that dealt with HVAC, air quality, and window replacement as needed at all Giles County schools.
The cost of Beard's recommendation came in at approximately $14 million.
Board will also hear Supervisor's reports, Assistant Director's report that includes project updates, and Director's Report on Personnel.
The board meeting is set for 5 p.m. in the Central Office boardroom and is open to the public.
