The Tennessee Highway Patrol is planning a sobriety roadside safety checkpoints the week of October 31st in Giles County on State Route 273 at the 13-mile marker.
Troopers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed.
THP reminds everyone that impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16 thousand people and injures three hundred and five thousand others every year in the U.S.
