Giles County increased to 921 patients Thursday who have tested positive for COVID-19 with 747 considered inactive or recovered.
Thirty-four fatalities have been reported for Giles County with 140 active case count.
In Thursday's update, negative tests rose to 10,941, up from 10,857.
Fifty-one Giles County residents have been hospitalized since May.
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, as of October 16th, 52 residents and 26 staff members have tested positive at Elk Valley Health.
Test results in Tennessee counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence with 1,526 positive, 13,334 negative, 1,255 inactive, 18 fatalities; Lincoln has 836 positive, 9,213 negative, 721 inactive, three fatalities; Marshall reported 1,085 positive, 11,016 negative, 903 inactive, nine fatalities; and Maury has 3,139 positive, 31,992 negative, 2,715 inactive, 37 fatalities.
As of 2 p.m. Thursday, Tennessee has reported 237,907 total cases, 3,151,098 negative tests, 3,011 fatalities and 212,555 inactive or recovered.
