Giles County increased to 1,300 patients Wednesday who has tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,089 are now considered inactive or recovered.
Forty fatalities have now been reported with 171 active case count in the county.
Test results in surrounding counties are: Lawrence with 2,364 positive, 16,986 negative, 1,935 inactive, 28 fatalities; Lincoln has 1,322 positive, 10,810 negative, 1,102 inactive, 11 fatalities; Marshall reported 1,549 positive, 14,009 negative, 1,322 inactive, 15 fatalities; and Maury rose to 5,158 positive, 42,733 negative, 4,208 inactive, 50 fatalities.
As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, Tennessee has reported 325,201 total cases, 3,819,358 negative tests, 4,048 fatalities, and 279,931 inactive or recovered.
