Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has achieved recognition as one of only 89 hospitals nationwide to be recognized for achieving meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care in 2019 by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP).
As a participant in ACS NSQIP, MRMC is required to track the outcomes of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures. These outcomes are then analyzed by ACS and reported back to participating hospitals with results intended to help direct patient safety initiatives within the hospital and impact the quality of surgical care.
“The multidisciplinary team of surgeons and staff at Maury Regional Medical Center work diligently each day to help patients achieve the best possible surgical outcomes,” said Maury Regional Health CEO Alan Watson.
More than 50 physicians on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center perform surgical procedures in the areas of the breast; cosmetic and reconstructive; ear, nose, and throat (ENT); gastroenterology; general; gynecology; neurosurgery; ophthalmology; oral; orthopedics; podiatry; thoracic; urology; and vascular.
