Giles County increased to 1,342 patients Sunday who has tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,135 are now considered inactive or recovered.
Fatalities increased to 42 and the active case count currently is 165.
Fifty-eight Giles County residents have been hospitalized since early May.
Test results in Tennessee counties contiguous to Giles are: Lawrence with 2,496 positive, 17,418 negative, 2,095 inactive, 32 fatalities; Lincoln has 1,444 positive, 11,054 negative, 1,198 inactive, 13 fatalities; Marshall rose to 1,631 positive, 14,371 negative, 1,409 inactive, 17 fatalities; and Maury with 5,419 positive, 43,788 negative, 4,559 inactive, 57 fatalities.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, Tennessee has reported 340,476 total cases, 3,907,353 negative tests, 4,266 fatalities, and 294,231 inactive or recovered.
