The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Alderman received an update during a Work Session from Pulaski Electric System CEO Richard Kelley that he and Mayor Pat Ford have been discussing and planning to ramp up switching out streetlights with LEDs.
Also during the meeting, the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen heard a request from Historic Downtown Pulaski Director Olivia Officer in anticipation of the Sundrop Festival on June 2021 in downtown Pulaski.
“I want you guys to rest assured it will remain a family festival,” Officer said, noting areas will be designated where consumption or sale of beer will not be allowed.
Officer said this is the first step in saying you can come outside in the open air with a parade permit in a designated area.
The board tabled the request until its next work session on Monday, January 4th.
The Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen heard a request at the work session to amend the city’s beer ordinance to allow the sale and consumption of beer at approved events.
Ford informed the board he was in the process of working on the appointments and they would be included on the agenda prior to naming the appointments.
The mayor and alderman's next meeting is Tuesday, December 8th at the City Hall at noon.
