Giles County increased to 3,253 patients Wednesday who has tested positive for COVID-19 and 2,921 are now considered inactive or recovered.
Seventy-three fatalities have now been reported and Giles County’s active case count is down to 259.
Ninety-six Giles County residents have been hospitalized since May.
Test results in surround counties are: Lawrence with 5,142 positive, 24,533 negative, 4,717 inactive, 69 fatalities; Lincoln has 3,812 positive, 15,101 negative, 3,533 inactive, 44 fatalities; Marshall reported 3,492 positive, 20,146 negative, 3,088 inactive, 38 fatalities; and Maury with 11,079 positive, 62,317 negative, 10,060 inactive, 125 fatalities.
Tennessee has reported 694,291 total cases, 5,394,293 negative tests, 8,556 fatalities and 633,428 inactive or recovered.
