LAWRENCEBURG POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THE THEFT OF A CATALYTIC CONVERTER FROM A VEHICLE THAT WAS LEFT IN A RESTAURANT PARKING LOT OVER THE LAST WEEK DUE TO WEATHER. ACCORDING TO REPORTS OFFICERS SPOKE WITH THE COMPLAINANT WHO ADVISED SHE DISCOVERED THE PART HAD BEEN CUT OFF WHEN SHE WENT TO RECOVER HER VEHICLE ON SATURDAY FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT WHERE SHE WORKS ON CREWS STREET. SECURITY FOOTAGE SHOWS A SMALL WHITE VEHICLE PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT AROUND 1:20 AM SATURDAY AND SAT BY THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES THEN DROVE AWAY. THE SAME VEHICLE THEN RETURNED HOURS LATER AROUND 6:30. TWO SUBJECTS WERE SEEN EXITING THE VEHICLE. ONE SQUATTED DOWN UNDER THE VEHICLE AND THE OTHER APPEARED TO BE A LOOKOUT. ESTIMATED LOSS 450 DOLLARS. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT.
