LAWRENCE COUNTY WAS RECENTLY ADDED TO THE LIST OF COUNTIES THAT EXPERIENCED A WEATHER-RELATED DEATH FROM THE WINTER STORMS THAT TRAVELED ACROSS THE STATE LAST WEEK. STATE OFFICIALS ADVISE A TOTAL OF TWELVE DEATHS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED IN SEVEN COUNTIES; FOUR DEATHS OCCURRED IN SHELBY COUNTY, TWO DEATHS IN SUMNER COUNTY, AND ONE DEATH EACH IN DICKSON, MCNAIRY, OVERTON, WILLIAMSON, MAURY AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES. MEDIA SOURCES REPORT A 59-YEAR-OLD HOMELESS MAN WAS FOUND DEAD ON SATURDAY IN A BUILDING ON LITTRELL ROAD IN LORETTO. THE MAN HAD BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION TO STAY AT THE PROPERTY AND WHEN OFFICERS WENT TO CHECK ON HIM ON FRIDAY, THEY FOUND HIM WITH A RUNNING GENERATOR INSIDE. THE MALE WAS WARNED NO TO RUN THE GENERATOR INDOORS AND WAS FOUND DEAD THE FOLLOWING DAY FROM AN APPARENT CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
