A HOME IN LEXINGTON ALABAMA WAS DESTROYED THURSDAY DUE TO FIRE. THE TIMES DAILY REPORTS, EMERGENCY PERSONNEL FROM LEXINGTON, ELGIN, ROGERSVILLE AND ANDERSON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS RESPONDED TO THE RESIDENCE ON ALABAMA HIGHWAY 101. THE STRUCTURE WAS LOCATED NEXT DOOR TO A LUMBER YARD AND FIREFIGHTERS WERE ABLE TO QUICKLY CONTAIN THE BLAZE AND PREVENT IT FROM SPREADING. INITIAL REPORTS INDICATE THE FIRE STARTED IN THE CARPORT AND WAS CAUSED BY A GAS LEAK. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
