Clarence Edward Spurgeon passed away Sunday, July 26th, 2020, in Hohenwald, TN. He was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on April 5th, 1946 and was 74 years old.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Clarence served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam. He was a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and watching Snapped on the ID channel.

The visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 Wednesday, July 29th at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday, July 30th in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

The burial with full military honors will follow in Giles Memory Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curry Odell and Ola Grooms Spurgeon, step-son, Bobby Cagle, step-grandson, Corey Cagle, brothers, Cecil Spurgeon, Jack Spurgeon, Emmitt Spurgeon, and Clyde Spurgeon, and sisters, Grace Grooms, Blanche Faulkner, and Sue Edwards.
