Mary Sue Newton, age 72, died on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

She was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on October 10, 1947 to the late Thomas Earl Graves and Virginia Smith. She was a member of the Chestnut Grove Methodist Church, a Den Mother for the Girl Scouts, a caregiver, and retired as a machine operator at Avex. She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Houston and Edith Newton, and her sister-in-law, Debbie Graves.

She is survived by her husband, Galen Newton of Pulaski, TN, her sons, Michael Anthony Graves and wife Connie of Lawrenceburg, TN, John Christian Norwood of Flomaton, AL, and Joey Nevon Norwood of Flomaton, AL, her step-sons, Heath Lane Newton of Pulaski, TN, and Lance Edward Newton and wife Heather of Pulaski, TN, her daughter, Chasity Leigh Smith and husband Jimmy of Pulaski, TN, her brothers, David Earl Graves and wife Cassandra of Parsons, TN, and Ricky Glen Smith and wife Kathy Darlene of Leoma, TN, her sister-in-law, Sharon Medley and husband Barry of Pulaski, TN, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
