Charles Edward Jett, died July 8th at his home in Lynnville. He was 78 years old. Charles was born and raised in Lynnville and was a 1961 graduate of Jones High School. He worked at Union Carbide in Columbia. He spent much of his free time and retirement years serving his community as alderman and mayor of Lynnville. 

Visitation will be Saturday July 10th from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Services will be Sunday July 11th at 2:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Burial will be at the Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville.

Survivors include his Wife, Kaye Jett of Lynnville, Daughters, Brooke and husband Knox Vanderpool and Lindsey Jett both of Pulaski,3 Grandchildren, Sisters, Doris Bussell of Nashville, Evelyn Brewer of Columbia, Barbara and husband James Griggs of Tullahoma, Brother, David and wife Thelma Jett of Pulaski, Several nieces and nephews also survive.
