ALMOST TWO DAYS AFTER SEVERE STORMS MOVED THROUGH MIDDLE TENNESSEE AREA, THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS NOW CONFIRMED THAT EIGHT TORNADOES CAME ACROSS THE STATE LATE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. OF THE EIGHT, TWO WERE IN LAWRENCE COUNTY ONE IN LORETTO NEAR ST. JOSEPH WHICH WAS AN EF1, ONE IN MINOR HILL WHICH WAS AN EF- O AND ONE NEAR IRON CITY IN WAYNE COUNTY LISTED AS AN EF-O AS WELL.
AN EF2 TORNADO ALSO HIT CHRISTIANA IN RUTHERFORD COUNTY. FORTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD ANGIE WALKER, WAS KILLED. THE COUPLE’S HOME ON MIDLAND ROAD WAS DEMOLISHED. THERE HAVE BEEN 15 TORNADOS IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND SOUTHERN KENTUCKY SO FAR THIS YEAR.
