A LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN IS BEHIND BARS IN WAYNE COUNTY AFTER BEING ARRESTED SUNDAY FOR DRUG POSSESSION.  MEDIA SOURCES REPORT, WAYNE COUNTY DEPUTIES WERE DISPATCHED TO THE AREA OF PUMPING STATION ROAD TO A REPORT OF A RECKLESS DRIVER.  DEPUTIES MADE CONTACT WITH THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE IN AN ABANDONED PARKING LOT.  A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE LEAD TO THE DISCOVERY OF A BAGGIE CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 1.7 GRAMS OF A SUBSTANCE BELIEVED TO BE METHAMPHETAMINE, A CLEAR BOX CONTAINING FOUR ROUND YELLOW PILLS IDENTIFIED AS DIAZEPAM, TWO SYRINGE NEEDLES, COTTON SWABS, AND A TORCH LIGHTER.  LUCAS TATE HOOD, 21, OF LORETTO, WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND IS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE IV DIAZEPAM, AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. . HOOD WAS BOOKED INTO THE WAYNE COUNTY JAIL ON SIXTY TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR BOND.
