SOUTHERN TENNESSEE REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEMS OF LAWRENCEBURG CONDUCTED A TORNADO DISASTER DRILL WEDNESDAY (TODAY) TO TEST THE READINESS OF HOSPITAL PERSONNEL AND FIRST RESPONDERS.  ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, THE DRILL INVOLVED A SCENARIO IN WHICH A TORNADO HAD TOUCHED DOWN ON THE HOSPITAL CAMPUS REQUIRING THE EVACUATION OF PATIENTS AND TRANSPORTING OF VICTIMS TO AN ALTERNATE LOCATION.  THE EXERCISE BEGAN AT 9:30 AND INVOLVED PERSONNEL FROM SOUTHERN TENNESSEE REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM, LAWRENCEBURG FIRE AND POLICE, LAWRENCEBURG EMS AND EMA, MOORE CARE AMBULANCE SERVICE AND NHC BRINK.  ROTARY PARK WAS ALSO AS THE ALTERNATE SITE AND NURSING STUDENTS FROM THE TENNESSEE TECHNOLOGY CENTER IN PULASKI PARTICIPATED AS PATIENTS AND VICTIMS.
