FORMER LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF, JIMMY BROWN AND FORMER LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT CAPTAIN, ADAM BREWER ARE SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN COURT ON THURSDAY IN REGARDS TO CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST THE TWO EARLIER THIS YEAR.  BOTH BROWN AND BREWER WERE ARRESTED IN MAY FOLLOWING A JOINT INVESTIGATION BY THE TBI AND THE STATE COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE AT THE REQUEST OF 22ND JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY BRENT COOPER.  FOLLOWING INDICTMENTS BY THE LAWRENCE COUNTY GRAND JURY, BROWN WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT, TWO COUNTS OF USE OF INMATE LABOR FOR PERSONAL GAIN, AND ONE COUNT OF TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE AND WAS BOOKED INTO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL BEFORE BEING RELEASED ON 25,000 DOLLARS BOND.  BREWER FACES ONE COUNT OF OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT AND WAS BOOKED INTO THE JAIL AND LATER RELEASED ON 5,000 DOLLARS BOND.
