THE LAWRENCE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RECONVENED TUESDAY EVENING JUST AFTER 5 TO DISCUSS THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH BANK OF AMERICA FOR THE ESG UPGRADE PROJECT FOR LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOLS.  COUNTY EXECUTIVE TR WILLIAMS ADVISED THAT THE COMMISSION WOULD LIKE TO GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION IN THE ISSUING OF THE FUNDS IN THE FORM OF A COMBINATION BOND THROUGH THE ENERGY EFFICIENT SCHOOLS INITIATIVE GROUP.  THIS WOULD ALLOW THE PROJECT TO BE FUNDED AT A LOWER RATE.  LEGAL IS WORKING ON THE CONTRACT RIGHT NOW AND WILLIAMS DOESN'T FORESEE ANY ISSUES WITH IN BOND BEING APPROVED.  A SPECIAL SESSION WILL BE CALLED FOR TUESDAY NIGHT TO VOTE ON THE BOND.  THE ESG PROJECT HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR TWO YEARS NOW AND IS SOMETHING ALL LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOLS WILL BENEFIT FROM ESPECIALLY IN AIR QUALITY.
