THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY HAS REPORTED THAT AS OF JULY THERE HAVE BEEN 537 TRAFFIC DEATHS IN TENNESSEE.  THIS IS UP 36 FATALITIES COMPARED TO 2018 FOR THE SAME TIME PERIOD.  ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, LAWRENCEBURG DISTRICT HAS SEEN THE LARGEST INCREASE WITH 28 MORE DEATHS COMPARED TO 2018 BRINGING THE TOTAL UP TO 52 COMPARED TO 24.  THE NASHVILLE DISTRICT REPORTED THE SECOND HIGHEST INCREASE AND MEMPHIS HAS REPORTED THE LARGEST DECLINE WITH 12 FEWER DEATHS COMPARED OT LAST YEAR.
