A WAYNE COUNTY WOMAN WAS ARRESTED OVER THE WEEKEND FOLLOWING A TRAFFIC STOP. ACCORDING TO MEDIA SOURCES, KAY DEE JOHNSON, 32, OF WAYNESBORO WAS ARRESTED ON SUNDAY. JOHNSON WAS PULLED OVER FOR A FAULTY BREAK LIGHT AND WAS ISSUED A WARNING WHEN A K9 UNIT THEN ALERTED THE DEPUTY TO THE DRIVER’S SIDE DOOR OF JOHNSON’S VEHICLE. A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE YIELDED APPROXIMATELY ½ GRAM OF METHAMPHETAMINE, A METH PIPE, SCALES, MARIJUANA SEEDS, AND A 21-PIECE LOCKSMITH TOOL SET, ALL INSIDE JOHNSON’S PURSE. JOHNSON WAS ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF MANUFACTURE, DELIVERY, SALE, OR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE; POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; AND POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS. SHE WAS BOOKED INTO THE WAYNE COUNTY JAIL ON 7500 BOND.
