A GEORGIA WOMAN WAS ARRESTED WEDNESDAY AFTER OFFICERS WITH THE LORETTO POLICE DEPARTMENT WERE DISPATCHED TO A POSSIBLE OVERDOSE ON HIGHWAY 43 SOMEWHERE BETWEEN LORETTO AND LEOMA.  OFFICERS LOCATED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND A FEMALE INSIDE UNRESPONSIVE.  LAWRENCE COUNTY EMS RESPONDED AND THE FEMALE, IDENTIFIED AS CHEREE GOFF OF GEORGIA, REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS.  GOFF REFUSED FURTHER TREATMENT AND SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE YIELDED HEROIN, METHAMPHETAMINE, COCAINE, OXYCODONE, MARIJUANA, AND SEVERAL ITEMS OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. GOFF WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I (HEROIN) FOR RESALE, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II (METH) FOR RESALE, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II (COCAINE) FOR RESALE, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE II (OXYCODONE), POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE VI (MARIJUANA) AND POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE, TREVER LOVE OF CULLEOKA WAS ALSO ARRESTED FOR DUI. BOTH SUBJECTS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE LAWRENCE COUNTY JAIL FOR BOOKING AND ARE SET TO APPEAR IN GENERAL SESSIONS COURT ON AUGUST 20TH.
