THE SEARCH IS OVER FOR THE WEST TENNESSEE PRISONER WHO ESCAPED LAST WEEK AND CHARGED WITH THE MURDER OF CORRECTIONAL ADMINISTRATOR DEBRA JOHNSON. ACCORDING TO A PRESS RELEASE, CURTIS RAY WATSON, WAS CAPTURED SUNDAY AROUND 11 AM. CURTIS WAS SEEN IN THE HENNING AREA JUST AFTER 3 AM BY HOMEOWNERS SECURITY DOOR BELL SYSTEM. WATSON SURRENDERED AT APPROXIMATELY 11 AM AS HE EXITED A SOYBEAN FIELD ABOUT 10 MILES FROM THE PENITENTIARY. WATSON HAD BEEN MISSING SINCE WEDNESDAY AFTER JOHNSON WAS FOUND DEAD INSIDE HER RESIDENCE. WATSON IS CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER, ESPECIALLY AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AND AGGRAVATED SEXUAL BATTERY.
